Melodie Langevin

After serving as the Director of Choirs at Seycove Secondary for eight years and attaining a Masters in Educational Leadership, Melodie became a mother and is now teaching in the Coquitlam School District and singing with ensembles all over the Lower Mainland. An avid chorister, Melodie discovered a passion for conducting while completing her Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Manitoba. She studied with soprano Valdine Anderson while singing in the University of Manitoba Singers and with several other ensembles in Winnipeg including Dead of Winter (formerly Camerata Nova).
In 2013, Melodie moved to Vancouver to complete her Bachelor of Education degree. Not long after her move, she began singing with the Phoenix Chamber Choir and the St. Andrew’s-Wesley Vocal Ensemble, and over the past ten years she has also sung concerts with musica intima, the Vancouver Chamber Choir, Vancouver Cantata Singers, Postmodern Camerata, and Aurora Chamber Choir, and sung with various church ensembles throughout Vancouver. Melodie also volunteers as the Choral Clinics Coordinator for BCMEA, sits on the board of the Phoenix Chamber Choir as Education Representative, and often records vocals for the Cypress Choral Music Publishing company. In addition to these positions in the choral community, Melodie is also one of four directors for Chor Leoni Men's Choir's educational outreach program called MYVoice, leading the Coquitlam ensemble of young Tenors and Basses. In 2025, Melodie will become the Artistic Director of Vivo Children's Choir in New Westminster.
Carrie has been teaching in the public school system for 26 years. She began her teaching career in Coquitlam, and is currently teaching at Burnaby Central High School. Carrie has enjoyed teaching jazz band, concert band, and drama; however, her passion is now teaching choir. She currently directs a concert choir, a women’s choir, a men’s choir, and 2 chamber choirs.
Carrie has been the British Columbia Provincial Honour Choir coordinator for many years, giving her an opportunity to provide enrichment to students from all over BC. She also is one of the directors of MyVoice, a choral program supported by the Chor Leoni Men’s Choir. MyVoice’s mission is to teach vocal technique and build community for young male singers.
Carrie, her husband Brent, their three boys Evan, Aksel, and Grayson, and a Portuguese water dog named Panda live in New Westminster.
Anne Wilson Unger is recognized and respected throughout British Columbia as a professional musician. As a pianist and conductor, she holds an ARCT from the Royal Conservatory in Toronto, an AVCM from the Victoria Conservatory, a B.Mus from the University of Victoria and a M.Mus from the University of Western Washington.
Anne began her career as a pianist and accompanist, performing throughout Canada. She currently teaches piano locally, adjudicates at music festivals all over British Columbia, and is one of the Artistic Directors for the Vivo Children’s Choir. Anne and her husband Ron have lived in New Westminster for many years, raising their two children, Sam and Rebecca.
Ingrid received her M. Mus. (Piano Performance) from the University of Victoria, where she studied with Bruce Vogt. With a keen desire to learn and grow as a musician, Ingrid has participated in Masterclasses and courses with inspiring artists such as Gyorgy Sebok (Banff School of Fine Arts), Paul Badura–Skoda (University of Victoria), and Rena Sharon (Vancouver International Song Institute), as well as regularly taking part in local workshops.
The desire to share her love of music with her local community has led Ingrid to collaborate with many community, school and church choirs, including Vivo Children’s Choir, of which she is a co–founder and co–director, the Amabilis Singers, Phoenix Chamber Choir, Chor Leoni’s MyVoice Program, the BCMEA Honour Choir, Shaughnessy Heights United Church Choir and many schools in the Lower Mainland. Ingrid also accompanies young musicians in many local festivals and RCM Exams and is the music programme coordinator at New Westminster Christian Reformed Church.
An active chamber musician, Ingrid is also a Registered Music Teacher in Burnaby, where she lives and has maintained her studio since 1993.
